Welcome to Torrance
An affordable, family-friendly community
Torrance is a coastal city just southwest of Los Angeles. It’s one of the larger coastal communities and is an easy drive from Los Angeles. Its proximity to both beach and city make it an ideal combination!
Torrance is most known for its affordability and great schools. It’s also the home of the American Youth Soccer Organization and was a fundamental part of the southern California hip hop scene. It’s a hub of culture and history.
Torrance is more affordable than its neighboring communities. Most of it is inland, with only a few parts of the city reaching the shore. The median price of homes in Torrance is about $800,000. Single-level ranches and bungalows are typical in the area.
